Beth Lear’s climbing the Political Ladder, and leaving Republican Values Behind.

BETH LEAR VOTED TO GIVE A BILLIONAIRE $600 MILLION OF OUR TAX DOLLARS FOR THE BROWNS STADIUM

While Ohioans have been struggling to afford skyrocketing property taxes, Lear handed over our tax dollars to fund a new privately-owned stadium for the Cleveland Browns’ out-of-state billionaire owner, Jimmy Haslam. This is just the latest example of “pay to play” politics in the Columbus swamp. And liberal lobbyist Beth Lear fits right in.

BETH LEAR VOTED TO TAKE AWAY LOCAL CONTROL

As unwanted development continues to take root throughout our district, Beth Lear voted to raise the local zoning referendum threshold to 35%, effectively making it impossible for local residents to block unwanted development. Zoning referendums were the last line of defense for locals fighting back against unwanted data centers, high density developments, asphalt plants, and landfills that pollute farmland.

AFTER MISSING 20% OF HER VOTES IN 2025, BETH LEAR NOW WANTS A PROMOTION

While Republicans were voting on property tax reforms, Beth Lear was in California giving a speech. She thought giving a 10 minute speech to Californians was more important than doing her job. Lear knew her California trip would cause her to miss voting for the Charlie Kirk Act, property tax reforms, and many other important pieces of legislation, but skipped anyway.

BETH LEAR IS A CAREER GOVERNMENT INSIDER

Beth Lear pretends to be an outsider, but the truth is she’s the ultimate government insider. Before being elected to the Ohio State House, Beth Lear was a registered lobbyist.

Now her campaign is being funded by fellow insiders who don’t share our conservative values. Lear has accepted thousands of dollars from lobbyists; a PAC managed by a former Obama staffer; and a trial lawyers PAC which donates to some of Ohio’s most liberal elected officials. Her most recent campaign finance report revealed that her fourteen largest contributors were all politicians, lobbyists, PACs, and donors from outside our district.

CONSERVATIVES ARE TURNING THEIR BACKS ON LEAR

Conservative Republicans and Conservative organizations throughout Ohio have turned their backs on Beth Lear, and many are supporting her opponent instead. The Ohio Conservatives PAC called Lear, “One of the bigger disappointments we've had in the Ohio Legislature," and went on to say, "Over the last 12 months, Beth Lear's failed Conservatives across Ohio. Like so many other politicians, Lear's political ambition has caused her to stray from the values and principles we have been fighting to uphold.”
